About us
Shine Initiative is a non-profit organization based in Worcester, MA. Shine provides mental health education and awareness to youth and the adults in their lives. Shine specializes in mental health literacy, suicide awareness and self-care and wellness. At Shine, we believe that everyone can talk about mental health in an approachable and accessible way. Shine engages young people and places youth voice at the forefront of our work. Youth are encouraged to create peer-led groups in their schools, called Mindmatters Teams, which help shift the culture of acceptance around mental health in their communities.

Come join us this Thursday, March 7th, at Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company to support Shine and mental health! $1 from every draft pour will benefit Shine Initiative!
Save the dates for a great cause! On EVERY Thursday in March, we will donate $1 from each pour to The Shine Initiative, a Worcester-based organization that educates youth and young adults on mental health issues, provides local resources for professional treatment and works to remove the stigma associated with these common illnesses. We will kick off this exciting partnership on THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2024! Come join us at the taproom, located at 55 Millbrook Street in Worcester, for fresh beer and delicious food from 12 - 10:00 pm. Did you know today is National Love Your Pet Day?! Here at Shine, we definitely love our pets! Spending some time with an animal is a great way to decrease stress, lower blood pressure, reduce loneliness, increase physical activity (like walking your dog!) and boost your mood! Now it's your turn- show us a pic of your furry (or not-so-furry) friends! #theshinema #PetsArePeopleToo #mindmatters #MakeTimeForYourMind

We couldn't do the work that we do at Shine if it weren't for the support and partnership you provide. Thanks for all you do! #theshinema #youthmentalhealth #mindmatters #MakeTimeForYourMind
