On Her Terms: Feminine Power Embodied" showcases seven contemporary artists who see the body as a source of strength. Azita Moradkhani, Catherine McCarthy, Claudia Olds Goldie, Lindsey Beal, Maria Yolanda Liebana, Minoo Emami, and Nafis White explore the female body as a site of personal agency and political resistance. They draw inspiration from the women's rights movements, hip hop, old medical tools, and Victorian hair weaving to show how women overcome religious oppression, societal expectations, and political disenfranchisement.
